I decided to update my blog because I am on my new netbook and I thought - why not? I have to do something - yes?

So it is almost the end of 2010. That makes me sad - in a way...

But I guess you never know what the new year is going to bring and it may just be a great year!!!

I would be very surprised if I ended up going to Europe in 2011 though. I have no big trips planned for this year...

I just read that a Marist poll finds the following words/phrases as the most irritating in the English language:

To tell you the truth, I use all of these words/phrases on a daily basis - like - if you know what I mean? Actually, I have decided to try not to use these words/phrases as much as I possibly can.

Seriously!! (This word was not on the list but it probably should have been...)

a long time ago

Yesterday I spent a lot of time rereading my posts. I have had this blog now for quite a long time! It is hard to believe how long it has been. When reading the posts, I have noticed how much I really do appreciate and it reminds me to appreciate everything in my life.

That is always a good reminder!

do you think I should be concerned?

I hate it when people do not post on their blogs. It makes my day happy to see that they have posted something...and when they do not...I am sad...

Of course I realize that I am the person who is saying this - the person who never blogs. Correction: the person who sometimes blogs.

I do not have too much to say as my life is boring. Especially this week as I have been home sick. You know - I think I need an English lesson as I do not think I made a proper sentence there.

(sigh)

I was out tonight and when I came home I noticed that someone had shovelled my stairs. Not just my stairs but the part of the stairs that goes from my door to my storage room. Should I be concerned? It is kind of scary to think that someone walked up my stairs...to shovel. Okay - maybe that is not scary. Maybe we just live in a world where the thought of someone doing something nice for you is scary. I think that is pretty sad and pathetic myself. I think I should just be grateful that someone cleaned my stairs and leave it at that. What do you think? Maybe they realized that I had been sick for a few days and decided to be nice to me?

Although....it is kind of scary that someone is paying so much attention to me that they realized I was sick...

lol???

In other news - I really I have to figure out how to work my T.V.

Another year, another Grey Cup, another loss. Oh well, there is always next year - right?

winter is here!

Man, have we been hit with a winter storm! We got a bunch of snow yesterday and now today it is cold (-23 C) with -34 windchill. I did not realize it was so cold or I would have dressed better. I would have put on a toque and some skipants, etc. I have a ton of snow now to shovel. I am not sure when I am going to get it all shovelled. I think I will wait for the weather to warm up and for me to have a better shovel. I would like to get my parking spot shovelled out before I bring my car home. I also need to find my electric cord as I may need to plug in my car tonight. It looks like it is going to be at least 10 degrees warmer this afternoon but it will probably drop again overnight.

Winter means the weather network is my new best friend.

We were planning on going out to the farm this weekend but I do not want to travel on the roads if we do not have to. K and I are in consensus on that. It also is supposed to snow on Sunday so I do not want to be stranded somewhere if I do not have to be.

I just checked the road conditions and most of the way to the farm is okay but all of the roads coming into the city are labelled 'critical'. I hope L and L are okay driving in.

Anyway - I should go to the skating rink now...

more sleep than...

It has been a long day but I am not in bed yet. Hopefully I will be in bed soon!

Tomorrow I plan to straighten/clean my house. The good news is that I feel like I am in a good position to get the rest of my house clean. The thing I am the most concerned of is forgetting where I put stuff!!! Hopefully I will not forget!

Anyway, even though I am not in bed yet. I think I will get more sleep at home than I would if I had not driven 2 hours to come home. So....
