Another wedding...

Yesterday my uncle got married for the third time.

It was a nice wedding - all 12 grandchildren and my niece were in the wedding party.  Only 9 were under the age of 10.

It is nice that my uncle is happy again.  You never know where life will take you so count your blessings.

I had a great time dancing last night but today I am really tired.  I am looking forward to sleeping.  Is that strange?

My sister thinks my postings should be longer but I have nothing more to say except...

Congrats!  (You know who you are.)

Picture this...

It occurred to me today (as I looked around my living room) that I do not have that many personal pictures.

These are the personal pictures I have in my house:
In the living room =
Picture of Kareena, Joanne, and me on Kareena's wedding day
Picture of me at grade 12 grad
Picture of Bella and Mya on their First Eucharist
Picture of paternal grandparents

In the kitchen =
Picture of Kathleen and Bella
Picture of the wedding party from one of the weddings I went to last year
Picture of my Real Estate Agent (came as a magnet at Christmas)

In my bedroom =
Picture of Bella as a baby
Picture of Ted, Kareena, Alex, and Alyssa
Picture of me with Rangers (made the newspaper back in the day) skating

In my spare bedroom =
Picture of maternal grandparents
Picture of me with Lieutenant Governor

For a grand total of 11 pictures in my house.  How about you?  How many personal pictures do you have displayed in your house?

What do you think it says about you?  (I think it says that I am analytical?)

Here are some tips for giving me a picture:
1) Always give me a picture in a frame
2) Wait 3 months...
3) Come over to my house
4) Walk through my place to see if I have it displayed anywhere
5) Hang it up

:-)

btw - I always love getting pictures.  (even if I don't hang them up)

:-)

Determined!

To beat this heat!!

Oh the joys of summer...it is nice when the weather is warm but man - does the house ever heat up.  Unintentionally I have not turned on my air conditioning yet!! (and I live on the 2nd floor)

I just haven;t been hot enough yet to need it on....except for maybe on the weekend and even tonight.  Okay - now I am intentionally not turning it on.

I am boiling but determined not to turn on the air conditioning tonight...

Tomorrow - it may be a different story...

Obsessed

Last night I went to Chapters as I knew the book I was waiting for was out now.  However, when I got there they were all sold out of the book I wanted.  I found another book that I had been interested in before and so I decided to buy it.
Then I bought 3 religious books all to do with Catholicism.  They just looked interesting to me.

I have finished the one non-religious book and I am starting to read one of the other religious books.

Maybe I am obsessed.

Why I hate to read...

I have not been to the library for a very long time.  Hense, I have not been reading a lot lately either.  But just a few days ago, I went to the library for the first time in a very long time.

I have read three books since then.  That's right - three.

That means that first thing in the morning, I grab my book and read.  I get home from work and read.  I go to my evening activities, come home and read.  I read before I go to bed.  My whole life is spent reading.

Which means...all day long all I can think about is reading my book when I get home.

I think...

What is going to happen in the book?
Is everything going to turn out?
Is so-and-so going to die?
Etc
etc
etc

My whole life is spent reading....

or thinking of reading.

That is why I hate it.  But I also LOVE it.

Excuse me....while I go back to my book

Surprise!!

This week I flew across country to surprise my sister for her birthday.  I was not sure how it would go...would she like it?  Would she not like it?  You never know how someone is going to react.  Overall, I think it was a good reaction.

While we were there we helped her lay some bricks that she had planned to do this week.  It took 4 of us 7 hours to lay them.  She was really glad we were there to help!!

It was not all work though.  We also spent quite a while on Monday at Ikea!  It was a nice shopping trip but I had to use one of my sister's old suitcases to cart home my purchases.

I got home this afternoon and I am now completely exhausted.  I also went to Zumba tonight so that might be part of the reason I am exhausted!

It was a nice trip though...

Dear Sarah

It has been awesome to watch you grow up. It is hard to believe how old you are now. You are becoming a 'person'. I know you have always been a person but you are just looking older. Soon you will be a teenager. It will happen faster than we think!

I have many hopes for you. Here are some of them; you will love yourself, you will be confident, friendly, nice, that you will think of others feelings, etc.

I am starting this blog to hopefully share with you my thoughts for you. I hope you enjoy it.
